3rd August 2017 Mr Surer Stone Quarry Site

This day we did some garden work in the morning, soon after in the afternoon we visited Mr Surer Stone Quarry site. In the Stone Quarry Site we walk through by one of the workers (Machine Operator) explaining us how the extract the rocks from the mountain and break them to stones.
The process starts from using a big hammer machine to break the rocks from the mountain and collect the rocks to the crusher with a Loader machine then the crusher breaks the big rocks into small sizes and they are separated in different sizes by the crusher Conveyer belt system.
He also showed us how the fill stone in metal cages that are use for constructing wall.

We then left the stone Quarry site and meet my god mother (Auntie Verena) in Liestal for my personal thing which was very happy. She also gave me a very nice and quality watch. Further more she gave us all another additional gift and had our lunch in a Chinese Buffet restaurant. After the lovely lunch we wished her good bye and we went home to Arisdorf.
Then later in the evening we had lovely supper with auntie Verena in Arisdof, it was one of the nice evening i had in Arisdorf.

2nd August 2017 The City of Basel

On this day after breakfast with the Canadians, it was time for the Canadians to leave Arisdorf.
They pack and after we wishes them goodbye auntie Ruth drop them off in Liestal. We rested in the house waiting for anutie Ruth. Then after we wrote some blog and cleaned the windows upstairs.
When auntie Ruth arrived we went to peal shop and visited her sister Auntie Katherine in Basel City.
Basel is a city in northwestern Switzerland on the river Rhine. Basel is Switzerland's third-most-populous city (after Zürich and Geneva) with about 175,000 inhabitants.

We had walk around the city visiting some shops and some interesting and touristic parts of the Basel city With Auntie Katherine.

We visit Basel city cathedral there walked through the cathedral and climbed to the top towers of the church to looks at the tower architecture and view the city from up there.

The Basel Cathedral is one of the main landmarks and tourist attractions of the Swiss city of Basel. It adds definition to the cityscape with its red sandstone architecture and coloured roof tiles, its two slim towers and the cross-shaped intersection of the main roof. The Münster is listed as a heritage site of national significance in Switzerland.
Then after we took a boat(Fury) and cross the river Rhine to the other side of the city (small Basel),
had a little look around and we went home.

29th July 2017 The big city of Bern

This day we made another road trip to one of the nice big city in Switzerland Bern.
In the morning around 10 am we drove to a parking space in Bern and met auntie Ruth friend  Mrs. Lottie who is a sister of a Late friend of Mrs. Petitjean. She has lived in Bern throughout almost all her life and was glad to show us around this lovely city.

There I felt  a little like am in Ghana, kejetia because there was a big outside market in front of their parliament house with a lot of people buying and selling.
I was lovely seeing a lot of people in this big city including tourist  from different countries.
We first took a bus for the packing area to the city parliament hall we walk around the area while auntie Lottei showed and explain her city to us. We entered the parliament house and there we saw pictures of the Swiss government leaders.
We further move to other parts of the city and we went to a big cathedral with a long tower.
The Bern Minster is a Swiss Reformed cathedral, in the old city of Bern. Built in the Gothic style, its construction started in 1421. Its tower, with a height of 100.6 m, was only completed in 1893.
We climbed to the top of the tower.

Stephen and I climbed the tower whiles mum and auntie Lottei waited for us on the ground. We climbed to the highest point and there we meet a Taiwan lady which we became friends with.
Again we climbed back down and we walked to see some bears in a big cage along the big river flowing through this beautiful city.
Soon after we took the bus back to the packing area and drove back to Arisdorf.
