3rd August 2017 Mr Surer Stone Quarry Site

This day we did some garden work in the morning, soon after in the afternoon we visited Mr Surer Stone Quarry site. In the Stone Quarry Site we walk through by one of the workers (Machine Operator) explaining us how the extract the rocks from the mountain and break them to stones.
The process starts from using a big hammer machine to break the rocks from the mountain and collect the rocks to the crusher with a Loader machine then the crusher breaks the big rocks into small sizes and they are separated in different sizes by the crusher Conveyer belt system.
He also showed us how the fill stone in metal cages that are use for constructing wall.

We then left the stone Quarry site and meet my god mother (Auntie Verena) in Liestal for my personal thing which was very happy. She also gave me a very nice and quality watch. Further more she gave us all another additional gift and had our lunch in a Chinese Buffet restaurant. After the lovely lunch we wished her good bye and we went home to Arisdorf.
Then later in the evening we had lovely supper with auntie Verena in Arisdof, it was one of the nice evening i had in Arisdorf.

2nd August 2017 The City of Basel

On this day after breakfast with the Canadians, it was time for the Canadians to leave Arisdorf.
They pack and after we wishes them goodbye auntie Ruth drop them off in Liestal. We rested in the house waiting for anutie Ruth. Then after we wrote some blog and cleaned the windows upstairs.
When auntie Ruth arrived we went to peal shop and visited her sister Auntie Katherine in Basel City.
Basel is a city in northwestern Switzerland on the river Rhine. Basel is Switzerland's third-most-populous city (after Zürich and Geneva) with about 175,000 inhabitants.

We had walk around the city visiting some shops and some interesting and touristic parts of the Basel city With Auntie Katherine.

We visit Basel city cathedral there walked through the cathedral and climbed to the top towers of the church to looks at the tower architecture and view the city from up there.

The Basel Cathedral is one of the main landmarks and tourist attractions of the Swiss city of Basel. It adds definition to the cityscape with its red sandstone architecture and coloured roof tiles, its two slim towers and the cross-shaped intersection of the main roof. The Münster is listed as a heritage site of national significance in Switzerland.
Then after we took a boat(Fury) and cross the river Rhine to the other side of the city (small Basel),
had a little look around and we went home.

1st August 2017 Swiss National Day

In the morning Stephen and I together with auntie Ruth and the Canadians set out up hill in Arisdorf to attend the branch party for Swiss national day. Which we were invited and sponsored by Mr. Fritz Surer to celebrate and observed the farmer Brunch.
It was a great get together at the branch party of Swiss national day.
The Swiss National Day (GermanSchweizer Bundesfeiertag) is the national holiday of Switzerland, set on 1 August. Although the founding of the Swiss Confederacy was first celebrated on this date in 1891 and annually since 1899, it has only been an official holiday since 1994.

We enjoyed the food and we had fun together charting with our selves an other people.
In the afternoon we let the branch and came home to rest.
Later in the evening Mr. Raymond came to visit us all expecially Miss. Kim from Canada.
We all had a nice cake and drinks together with Mr Raymond and a few hours later he left us.
Then after dinner with with the Canadians we all played Triminous together for a while.
